This shot was taken from the side of the road on Interstate 5 in the winter of 2011. While on a road trip through Northern California, I was overtaken in awe of this magnificent view of the crags. During the Jurassic era around 65 million years ago, large granite bodies pushed upward with explosive energy to create these rugged crags.
